เราใช้ Past Perfect Continuous Tense คูก่ ับ Past Simple Tense กับเหตุการณ์ 2 เหตุการณท์ ่เี กิดขน้ึ และสิ้นสุดลงแลว้ ในอดีตทงั้ 2 เหตกุ ารณ์ โดย Past Perfect Continuous Tense เปน็ เหตกุ ารณท์ ่เี กดิ ข้ึนกอ่ น ดาเนินตอ่ เน่ืองเรื่อยมา จนกระทัง่ มอี กี เหตุการณห์ นง่ึ ท่ีเป็น Past Simple Tense เข้ามาแทรก

เราใช้ Past Perfect Continuous Tense นี้ เพื่อที่จะเนน้ ย้าการกระทาใน อดีตท่ีได้ดาเนินตอ่ เนื่องเรอ่ื ยมา จนกระทั่งมีอกี เหตุการณห์ นึ่งเข้ามาแทรก

นอกจากนี้ เรายงั ใช้ Past Perfect Continuous Tense บอกถึงสาเหตุและ ผลของการกระทาในอดตี ไดอ้ กี ด้วย เชน่

ประโยคบอกเลา่

ประโยคปฏเิ สธ

เราสามารถเตมิ คาว่า not หลงั will ได้เลย -The principal will not tolerate bad behaviors. -The house will not be on sale. -I will not go to Venice. -They will not swim this afternoon.

ประโยคคาถาม

ในการทาประโยคคาถาม พวกเราจะตอ้ งสลบั ตาแหน่งของประธานกับ กริยาชว่ ย will เชน่
