Alright, who got one of these that was sitting on the shelf at the same time the new Ryzen APUs were launched :D I did! And I knew what to do because I did my RESEARCH! See, AMD did this thing where you could get a processor sent to you and you could update the BIOS in the pre-2018 motherboards. After you were done, you sent the processor back to them! This is easy stuff if you are BUILDING your own PC right? Well everyone got their panties in a bunch when their new mobo couldn't support the new 2'nd year Ryzen processors. I used my Ryzen 1600 to get my BIOS flashed and I understand not everyone had one laying around. Don't hate on the mobo because you didn't research. Love the idea that Ryzen AM4 chipset will continue on for another 3 years! Be ready for next year (2019) when Ryzen 2 is released in the 10nm process.

So this board was purchased for a budget Ryzen build for my mom. After the bios update and installation, the computer ran fine. It continues now after 3 months to not have a single issue! Love the board, love the price, love the service from both AMD And ASRock. I'm on my 4th Ryzen and ASRock build since August. I couldn't be happier.

This motherboard is FANTASTIC! I bought it for my new Ryzen 5 1600 build and it has been absolutely superb. After getting the system up and running I ran a BIOS update. This allowed me to very easily adjust my RAM speed. I bought Coursair 3000 mhz RAM and the board defaulted to 2133 mhz. However, after the BIOS update I was easily able to clock to 2666. I can probably go to 2933 mhz with relative ease; I'm testing at 2666 mhz for now to have a baseline for comparison in both performance and stability.

The board is stable, it looks awesome, has USB-C, has rock-solid performance, and has two M.2 slots (one of them is NVMe). I've normally defaulted to MSI boards over the past few years. I'm super glad I went with ASRock this time. I'm definitely a satisfied customer. You can't beat the value of this board for the price point. Easy five stars.

For a budget MB, I'm completely satisfied. I bought it for compatibility with the Ryzen CPUs, but for budget purposes, I installed an A89600 APU in it just to get things up and running. I can worry about upgrading to a more powerful CPU later if I need to, but I have no intentions of messing with overclocks and I'm not a gamer, so I probably won't even need to. After installing this MB in an old (15+ years) ATX case, I plugged in the power supply, turned it on, and got excellent results right out of the box. I had no issues with my (Crucial 4GB Single DDR4 2133 MT/s (PC4-17000) SR x8 Unbuffered DIMM 288-Pin Memory - CT4G4DFS8213) RAM installed in the second RAM slot. I installed Win10 on a SSD and am currently running two old laptop hard drives as internal storage drives. Since I'm using an A89600 APU, I'm running onboard graphics through the APU and so far have no issues with running one VGA monitor, though I have plans to run it with two monitors.

I simply cannot speak to this MB's compatibility with gaming and OCs since I have no intention of doing either, but as a basic 'home' build, I'd say this MB is so far quite solid. I think my only strike against it is with the thermometers on the board. Running OpenHardwareMonitor to monitor the CPU temp, I have encountered occasions where the ASRock A-Tuning software will stop reading the MB's temperature properly (staying at 23c no matter how much work the CPU's doing). When this problem occurs, the A-Tuning software no longer adjusts the fan speeds because it thinks the CPU's running cool even when it's running much hotter. If I allow A-Tuning to run without running OpenHardwareMonitor, this problem does not occur. Take that info as you will. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.

Works great with Debian Testing. I bought this firstly for the M.2 PCIe drive (NVMe), and the difference in system response times, coming from a spinning disk, is important. This was paired with a Ryzen 1700 cpu, a Samsumg 960 EVO M.2 NVMe SSD, 4 Kingstom 16GB DDR4 RAM modules (total of 64GB). I kept my GeForce GT 630, my old HDD, Blu-ray Drive, and USB 2.0 hub and all other components in the case. For these Debian users: this works very good with Debian Testing. On installation with UEFI mode on the M.2 it recognizes all the hardware from the mother board. The installation procedure was to boot from Debian Stable netinstall CD and not install any desktop environment, change the sources to testing, update package info, then install LXDE from testing repositories. I run without overclock, as I mostly don't need it, only need the high number of CPU cores from time to time for certain tasks. So, CPU and RAM is running cool. This mother board boots from the M.2 and is also able to boot from the spinning HDD in BIOS compatibility mode out of the box. Booting from my old HDD worked very good, only glitch was no network. The driver for the network card is different from my previous machine, so I had to download the .deb and install manually. I could not make my case power and HDD LEDs to work, I left them unplugged from the mobo. I tried all combinations possible with the connectors in the mobo and the connector from the case and none worked. Anyway, this case has plenty of lights and side is transparent, so I cannot miss when is turned on. I don't think it is related to the mobo, though; I think the connectors from my case are not compatible. Audio works very well, I'm no audio expert nor heavy user, only stereo audio for me. After 1 week of normal use I have found no issues. I use this computer for work and entertainment.

Muy estable y de un rendimiento excelente. Tenía dudas de comprar un CPU Ryzen porque la mayoría de las mobos parecían tener problemas de compatibilidad; leí maravillas de esta placa y la verdad no decepcionó.
