Endomondo
Peeps,
I apologise if this has been posted before but I did search and couldn't find anything related on the forum. Mod's, feel free to delete / close thread if this is a duplicate.
Is there a way to automatically pair the 510 with an iPhone 4S. Currently, I have to manually allow the 510 to pair every time I switch it on (see image below) which is particularly annoying if my phone is at the bottom of a pack or in a waterproof case, etc. This has occurred ever since I've had the 510, across multiple garmin firmwares, Connect software and iOS updates.
I know, I know, first world problems right?.......:p Still, it would be super if anyone knows of a fix for this.
FYI - I'm on the latest Edge 510 firmware (3.50), Connect 2.12 and iOS 8.3

Before you can pair, you must put on the heart rate monitor. NOTE: Stay 10 m away from other ANT+® sensors while pairing. When the heart rate monitor is paired with your device, the sensor status is Connected. Pairing a Heart Rate Monitor

you figure this out? cause i have the same issue with my edge 510 and my iphone 4s. I updated the software and now it won't pair
I have the same issue. My Garmin Edge 510 suddenly stopped connecting via bluetooth to my iPhone 5s. The phone works with a host of other bluetooth items I own so this leaves me to believe its a garmin failure. I just updated the edge 510 to the newest software and it still won't work.
I find the garmin device to be very buggy and not very reliable. Very disappointing. I expected so much more. I still have corrupt files on the unit and can't read the data. Such a shame.
I wish somebody from Garmin would help solve this issue.
Great. My 510 is having the same issues. Worked this morning before the ride. Now - Nada
I bought a 510 two weeks ago. Paired and worked with iphone 4S running ios 7. Then I plugged 510 into USB and let it update firmware. Now it won't sync. Wish I had seen this thread first.

I'm a little late on this question, but since I just applied several firmware updates and ran into the same problem, I figured I'd post. After applying the updates, my Edge 510 would not connect to my iPhone 5s. After trying various reboots without success, I found that all you need to do is go into the iPhone's bluetooth settings and tell it to forget the Edge 510 device. The follow the normal instructions for pairing like it's a new device.
Edge 810 not pairing
I have a new 810 and it paired fine for my first activity download but this I updated the software onto the device via it being plugged into the computer. Now it wont pair. I have removed the app from the my iphone5s but I am having no luck at all. Any suggestions
Solved. I don't know why I didn't think of this before.

Thanks for the reminder. It solved it perfectly.
